My Favorite Martian Review

Despite the terrible reviews on Rotten Tomatoes, "My Favorite Martian" is a surprisingly entertaining film about a Martian named Martin that crash lands on Earth. News producer Tim O'Hara is fired from his job for unintentionally embarrassing his boss's daughter. On his way home, he comes across the martian spaceship. The martian shrinks his spaceship in an attempt to hide it from Tim, but he takes it with him anyway.  The martian follows him home to retrieve it. Tim is knocked out after a confrontation with the martian and he disguises himself to look like Tim and ends up kissing Lizzie when she visits him unexpectedly. Tim confronts the Martian the next morning and he finds out that a small device called an "electron accelerator", which powers the control systems of the ship, is damaged beyond repair and the Martian needs Tim's help to find a replacement. The Martian takes the name "Uncle Martin" and explores the city with Tim, unaware that they are being watched by SETI, which discovered martian DNA at the crash site. Tim secretly videotapes Martin and his sentient suit, Zoot, with hidden cameras to back up his story and share it with the world, but later changes his mind when he becomes fond of the martian. The videotape is stolen and Tim and Martin go looking for it, but Martin is captured by SETI agents. Go see the movie to find out the rest in a surprisingly fun adventure.
